A fresh approach to charitable giving: The Mortgage Co. launches “Investmint”, bringing new programs to over 50 charities

A Colorado-based mortgage company who prides itself in being highly involved in the communities around it has launched a brand-new initiative that aims to create an impact in a major way. The Mortgage Co. created this program, aptly named “Investmint”, to give back to the community in a way the company has never done before.

“We’ve always given back,” explains Dave Landin, Founder & President. “But the creation of Investmint is a completely different approach, giving our team a starting point and complete creative freedom to work with a charity they choose and in the way they feel will create the biggest impact – whether that be financial, emotional, community reach, or simply a feeling of goodwill. I have a feeling it will be a combination of all of those.”

The year-long program recently kicked off with everyone at The Mortgage Co. (the participants are deemed “Mintees”) receiving $1,000 to then be gifted to their chosen organization. Then, collaboration with the charities begins with a focus on creating something that is sustainable while making the biggest impact possible.

Landin’s approach is to allow his team to find unique and interesting ways to work with the charities – and has put no real “guidelines” around the program.

“I was overjoyed that there is 100% participation from my team. That is over 50…which means over 50 charities!” says Landin. “Everyone has a passion, a connection to an organization and I’m so excited to see how we can affect the community over the next year.”

Selected charities for the 2021 program include well-known organizations such as Planned Parenthood and American Diabetes Foundation to smaller groups such as Soul Dog Rescue out of Fort Lupton and the Greater Parker Foundation.
